Artists Statement:  

BIO.
Nicholas Waissbluth lives and works in Vancouver, Canada. Since graduating from Carleton University Graduate School of Architecture, he has worked across North America and Europe. Working in various mediums and scales, his work engages the conception of boundary systems – where the physical and virtual merge to define and manipulate our perception of “place.” A member of the collaborative, studio-EXIT, Nicholas and his colleagues have exhibited in both solo and group shows.

studioEXIT

studioEXIT is a collaboration between - Sharif Khan, Robert Eland, Patryk Ilendo, Chris Buehrle, Maxi-milian Johnson and Nicholas Waissbluth.

studioEXIT is an emerging collaborative engaged in theoretical and formal projects exploring the processes in the “act of making” in art and architecture. Working in multiple scales and mediums, studioEXIT is a multidisciplinary group with a desire to bring together various methods and skills, continually explor-ing the visual + physical dimensions of our environments. The collaborative has a portfolio including: visual art - [painting + mixed media]; video, installation work; furniture and architectural projects.
